As part of the roll-out of its ‘2030 and Beyond’ CSR roadmap, Verallia wanted to strengthen the commitment of its sales and marketing teams across 35 countries. The objective was to equip them to naturally present the Group's sustainability ambitions, confidently address specific CSR questions and identify their customers' key challenges, in order to deliver a convincing and factual message positioning Verallia as a key partner in their transition.

Jointly developed solutions

  • Customised hybrid training combining e-learning and virtual classrooms:
      • One hour of e-learning on general environmental and social issues, issues specific to the glass sector, and the fundamentals of CSR at Verallia.
      • Two two-hour virtual classroom sessions to put CSR into practice in the daily work of sales representatives (2 × 2 hours, 56 sessions).
  • Train nearly 300 people in 12 countries, in their own languages (French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese).
  • Capitalise on the tools (CSR presentation, environmental scorecard, FAQ) created by the Group CSR department and test them in real-life situations.
  • Train sales representatives to formulate a CSR pitch, give them tips on how to identify their customers’ CSR issues in advance, guide their discourse and deal with common customer questions.

"We put a lot of thought into this training course, both in terms of the target audience and the content. The subject is vast, complex and fascinating. Our real challenge was not deciding what to say, but rather selecting the key topics and messages. We wanted a comprehensive training programme that would provide specific knowledge and enable everyone to feel truly equipped. At the same time, we wanted it to remain concise so that it could fit into our teams' busy schedules. The hybrid format was the obvious choice, as it could be integrated into our internal e-learning platform while also creating opportunities for local discussions on customer issues. We therefore designed a programme that provides the essential keys to understanding our commitments, answering our customers' questions and communicating Verallia's CSR message with confidence and authenticity. This training programme marks an important step forward: it strengthens our collective consistency and anchors sustainability at the very heart of customer relations.
