Understanding the EUDR & its application

Integrate the requirements of the regulation against imported deforestation into your duty of care

Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 (EU Deforestation Regulation EUDR) regulates the placing on the European Union market of products that may be derived from deforestation. It sets out key criteria to be included in a comprehensive duty of care, so that anyone placing products covered by the annex to the regulation on the market can ensure that their actions have the least possible impact on the environment and human rights.

Goals

  • Understanding the legislator’s intention through the context, issues and expectations of the regulation
  • Analysing the content of the EUDR to identify the applicable obligations, the actors concerned and the control and sanction mechanisms
