Project challenges
As part of its sustainability strategy and commitment to responsible purchasing, LVMH aimed to raise awareness and train all buyers across its Maisons (including non-buyers involved in purchasing) on the key concepts of responsible procurement and the Group’s policies. The goal was to provide buyers from LVMH’s 75 Maisons with a better understanding of the Group’s strategic directions and tools related to sustainability in purchasing.
Solution provided
- Contextual analysis: Reviewed LVMH’s CSR policy documents, considered existing responsible purchasing initiatives, assessed participants’ maturity levels on the topic, and identified relevant purchasing categories.
- Training design: Collaborated with the project team to develop a detailed two-day training framework, combining theoretical input with case studies based on real LVMH examples.
- Creation of training materials: Developed pedagogical tools including a customized “Responsible Purchasing Fresco” tailored to LVMH’s sector-specific challenges.
- International deployment: Adapted the training for rollout in Italy, the United States, and China, with localization of content to reflect each country’s context.
