JAS Seminar: Complying with Japanese Organic Regulations
To export EU-certified organic wines to Japan
Since 16 May 2025, the equivalence agreement between the European Union and Japan now includes EU-certified organic alcoholic beverages, including wine. This recognition opens up new export opportunities to the Japanese market,
but also requires a thorough understanding of the specific requirements of the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS).
From 1 October 2025, all organic alcoholic beverages exported to Japan must be certified according to JAS regulations and bear the official logo. Operators wishing to obtain this certification must attend a mandatory JAS seminar for quality system managers and those in charge of wine processing. This seminar will give you the keys to understanding JAS requirements, anticipating differences with European regulations and preparing for your certification with confidence.
