Environmental Communication

Making good use of environmental claims and labeling

In a context where consumer expectations regarding environmental transparency are constantly increasing, environmental communication has become an essential strategic lever for companies. However, with the tightening of the regulatory framework in France and Europe, particularly through the European directive ‘Empowering consumer’ (EmpCo 2024/825), communication practices must adapt to avoid misleading claims or greenwashing. Regulations impose increasingly strict standards to ensure that environmental claims are reliable, verifiable and based on scientific data.

Goals

  • Explain the regulatory framework for environmental communication
  • Use environmental claims and labels appropriately
  • Strengthen the credibility and compliance of environmental messages
